The word from La founder: Where should I start? At first, Tiffany and I were in a very serious working relationship. It was “work love” at first sight: another French Asian who is obsessively VERY organized, passionate about her job, fun, with a big sense of 2nd degree humour and a bit crazy in the same time. And then we discovered we were also both obsessed with food. A lot of food. The rest is history. One day I heard in a fashion week diner “Fashion industry is not about the show ponies but the work horses”. How very true. Tiffany embodies that dedication, passion, rigor, and mindset. She does not look for the light or the show, she makes it happen. Did I mention also she was fun? I hope you will enjoy her interview as much as I did!
Your astrological sign:
Gemini. Also known as Bipolar.
A special feature about you:
Your credo/mantra in life:
The regrets of yesterday and the fear of tomorrow can kill you.
Why you love your job/craft? Or why you have chosen this path?
I remember choosing this path when my boyfriend said I should put my obsession of organization on something else than our lives, since I was driving him crazy. Turns out it was the best advice I could’ve asked for. What I love the most about my job is the fact that it is never redundant. I have this wonderful chance to meet all kinds of people with very different talents from all around the world. From photographers, to stylists, hair and makeup artists, lighting designers, scenographers etc…Organizing shows and photo shoots gets to be different each time. It is very stimulating. And for the free food of course.
A special project you loved doing:
When I used to work at OBO, one of my clients was the brand AMI. We had built a vintage wooden subway for one Alexandre Mattiussi’s shows. It was one of my 1st project, and I was particularly proud of it.
An anecdote about you that you would like to share:
In case you did not get that, I love food.
A special person/encounter, or a mentor/partner:
Justine, Press Manager at Balenciaga. Not only is she extremely good at her job, but she is a wonderful person, one of my best friends now. We share good and difficult times. Fashion week is always better when you have someone you can rely on when needed. And she understands my love of food.
I don’t have a favorite one, but the last one that struck me was Les griffes du chien from Don Winslow.
Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind and Little Miss Sunshine.
Favorite TV show:
Many!! I’m a show addict! Breaking Bad, The Handmaid’s Tale, Game of Thrones, The Last Man on Earth…
Favorite song/music artist to listen to for work:
Isaac Delusion, it relaxes me.
Favorite song to dance:
Can’t take my eyes off of you from Boys Town Gang. Or anything from Earth Wind and Fire.
Moscow mule to start. Red wine to continue. Gin & tonic to party.
Favorite city, and a place you love in that city:
Paris. I love it as much as I hate it. Right now, the best place there is my balcony.
Can’t pick only one! Les Arlots, Paris 10th for their saucisse/purée. Pho 18, Paris 13th for the best Pho ever! Chez Casimir, Paris 10th for their Sunday brunch. Pianovins, Paris 11th, for their amazing 6-course menu. Siseng, Paris 10th, for their baos.
Favorite brand or brand of the moment, and why:
Rivecour. I spent years looking for the perfect classic boots: the right heel, not too high or too low, the right instep, and the right color. Finding a good basic is particularly difficult. Rivecour has become my go-to brand for winter boots.
A guilty pleasure:
Watching romantic comedies when I’m tired or depressed. While eating.
