The word from La Founder: 2009 – We were young(er), we were starting our career, we did not know each other. But we felt we had a lot in common. Almost a decade after, we are not so young, we built our careers, and we know each other more than well. Julie is a bliss. As a colleague and as a friend. She masters her craft, she is passionate about it, she is a team player and a natural leader, she is a bliss to work with. She hosts amazing brunches, dinners and parties, like Bree Van der Kamp (another ginger) but in a cool, chill and yet perfected way. She cares, she listens, she gives advice. She is fun and she is wise. A pure bliss.
Your astrological sign:
A special feature about you:

Your credo/mantra in life:
Work hard, chill harder !
Why you love your job/craft? Or why you have chosen this path?
Before working in retail, I first chose to become an architect. What I loved about it was really to invent life scenes through architecture and space, either it was for a house, a hotel, products etc.. To create a content, no matter the scale, that will hopefully have a good impact on people’s life.
I design and build spaces for retail brands the same way. I try to create interesting spaces considering the customer, the context and how they relate and speak to each other. I try to work and compose with what’s already there and use the best of it. Even working for major retailers, I don’t want to fall in the soulless way of building shops but make any stores individual and unique.
I also always wanted to travel and all my experiences always lead me to somewhere unexpected. I believe it nurtures creativity as well.
A special project you loved doing:
I am currently working on several projects creating stores in protected buildings from the 18th century to the 1960’s in different countries throughout Europe. As much as it is challenging, working in historical locations is a fascinating experience because you revive the heritage of these buildings which crossed many eras and witnessed so many things. You continue to write and enrich their stories. You become part of it while thinking someone might do the same in 100 years from now.
An anecdote about you that you would like to share:
My partner keeps making fun of me because I always carry small samples of everything like I would carry crystals, healing stones and sacred wood in any of my bags, pockets or at home.
A special person/encounter, or a mentor/partner:
A Thousand Splendid Suns, K.Hosseini / Quiet Choas, S.Veronesi / The Lover, M.Duras
The Pianist for tears, In the mood for love for beauty, Le Mépris for the house, Love Actually for love (obviously…), Flashdance for self-motivation.
Favorite TV show:
90210 for the 90’s outfits, Sex & the City (I had my Carrie moment…), Gossip Girl (well, I had my Blair moment as well), TheYoung Pope for the aesthetics, 10 Pour Cent to laugh.
Favorite song/music artist to listen to for work:
Silence or just any surrounding beats and random noise with or without music but I would not naturally put my music on. I like listening to cities sound, to people talking, to the natural echo and beats of the space where I work. I work from so many different places and sounds are never the same. It can be a real source of inspiration.
Favorite song to dance:
I wanna dance with somebody, Team Whitney ❤
Anything coming out of my dad’s kitchen.
Diet coke (all day) / Wine (after 12pm) / Moscow mule (after 12am).
Favorite city, and a place you love in that city:
Paris, Le Palais Royal : any side, any bench, any season, any time.
This is way too hard to choose! Allow me to pass on this one. Easier to pick for sweets : Yann Couvreur (There’s an incredible praline cake called Merveille and let’s be honest, all the other ones are to die for as well) / Cyril Lignac (l’Equinoxe) / Ducasse La Chocolaterie.
Favorite brand or brand of the moment, and why:
A guilty pleasure:
Eating foie gras for breakfast when we have leftovers.
